Technical and Business Assistance (TABA)
Technical And Business Assistance (TABA) funding is available to SBIR and STTR Phase 1 or Phase 2 awardees. The funding is to support non-R&D activities such connecting to technical expertise, intellectual property protections, business development strategies, cybersecurity assessments, market research and validation and more.
Applicants must request TABA funding at time of proposal submission.

Below are a few examples of how we can use TABA funding to supplement your team until you are able to hire and train staff.
Phase 1 TABA: $6500 (over Phase 1 workplan - typically 6 - 12 months)
We suggest you use your TABA funding to strengthen your Phase 2 proposal. Activities could include:

Phase 2 TABA: $50,000 (over 24 months. a few agency exceptions - see below)
