Pathways to Commercialization

What is a pathway to commercialization?

Navigating federal R&D funding can be daunting as the process is  complex, time-sensitive, and highly dependent on the unique trajectory of your innovation.

Tributary Insights uses a Pathways to Commercialization Strategy to help you identify a specific funding path for the development of your innovation  from concept to commercialization.

Who are Pathways for?

Our funding strategies are for the serious entrepreneurs who are seeking to commercialize:

  • Early stage founders who want real funding options

  • Phase 2 awardees seeking transition funding

  • TRL 4 and higher that need a clear path to commercialization

  • Firms that want to provide investors or partners viable funding strategies

Did you know SBIR funding is only a small portion of the overall extramural federal R&D budget?

Our Approach

Pathways to Commercialization is structured advisement with the goal of creating a comprehensive funding roadmap for the development of your particular innovation.

We work with you to dial in your commercialization strategy, locate appropriate funding vehicles for each stage of development, do a competitor analysis, connect with vital resources and more.

How It Works

A custom meeting schedule is created based on your availability and need, with a typical time line of 4 - 6 weeks.  Along with meetings and reviews, deliverables include:

  • Final report for investors or partners

  • Executable 3 - 5 year plan

  • Proposal breakdowns and feedback

  • Connections to funding opportunities

  • Competition analysis

  • Agency analysis

Costs
Costs are dependent on final schedules and need.  Contact us for a no cost consultation and we will submit a proposal for your consideration.

"It would have taken me months of full time plodding through the various websites to stumble upon all of these leads, and that’s only if I knew to go to those sites in the first place. "
